PREACH

Google defines the word ”preach” as “(to) deliver a religious address to an assembled group of people.” Meaning, a preacher is someone who delivers a religious message to a group of people. Pretty straightforward, right?

When I think about preaching the Gospel, Luke 24 immediately comes to mind. The three words “He has Risen!” are synonymous with the Gospel and the Christian faith (1 Corinthians 15). In the passage of Luke’s gospel, three individuals witnessed the empty tomb, heard the word of the Lord, and were then tasked to go deliver (“preach”) the message that Christ has risen.

These three individuals who first preached the gospel were, Mary Magdalene, Joanna, and Mary the mother of James.

God has been using women to preach and deliver his message since the inception of the Christian faith. I see no reason why he would stop now.
