“Your own ears will hear him… ‘This is the way you should go.'” – Isaiah 30:21 (NLT).

Last month, I went to a prayer labyrinth for a class assignment in my master’s program.
For those of you who don’t know what a prayer labyrinth is, it is a circular path that leads its participants towards the center. While it looks like a maze, it is different because it only has one path and no dead ends. Prayer labyrinths have also been used as substitutes for pilgrimages to Jerusalem when it was not safe to do so.
There are three movements one takes when participating in a prayer labyrinth.
This first movement is to WALK the path towards the center. This is an opportunity to prepare yourself to hear from God.
The second movement is to ARRIVE at the center. This is an opportunity to pray, meditate, or be silent. You can do whatever helps you best hear from God.
The third and final movement is to RETURN on the path that you came. This is an opportunity to reflect on what you heard from God.
