On this Election Day, remember the least of these.
In “The Parable of the Sheep and the Goats” (Matthew 25:31-46) Jesus teaches that we will not be judged for our beliefs or values alone, but that we will be judged for how we treat the least of these.
Regardless of who wins today’s election, there are people who will be unheard, unvalued, and unrepresented by the next administration. As Christians, we are called to serve these people.
“Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” – Matthew 25:40
