Have you seen the hashtag #NoDaysOff? This hashtag can be used to show and celebrate someone’s hard work. For some, working hard means not taking time off to rest. The truth is, hard work and rest go hand-in-hand. I mean, even God rested!
Genesis 2:2 shows us both God’s work as well as his rest. It reads, ” By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day, he rested from all his work” (New International Version). Meaning, God took time off to rest after his hard week of work (I’ve never created a universe before, but I imagine it’s pretty hard work).
If God thought it was important to take some time off, then it’s also important for you to take some time. So let’s celebrate days off too!
