I often say that being a leader means being a lifelong learner. Because of that, it’s really important that you know how you learn best.
There are three main ways that people learn:
- Visual. If you’re a visual learner, you probably learn best by reading, writing, watching videos, or looking at charts, graphs, or maps.
- Auditory. If you’re an auditory learner, then that means you learn best by listening. This could be listening to podcasts, audiobooks, lectures, or even simply by discussing a topic with a group of people.
- Kinesthetic. If you’re this kind of learner, that means that you learn best by being hands-on. This could be by going on field trips, engaging in physical activities, practicing, or experimenting.
Those are the three ways that people learn. Personally, I’m a visual learner, so I learn best from reading and writing.
